this is a selective rp blog of a character from a dnd campaign played on dimension 20. kp hob was canonically played by brennan lee mulligan, who also created kp. as much as i wish i had made him, i did not, and i do not take credit for that or his canon. kp is, however, my favorite fictional character, and so i will be creating headcanons and taking him in my own direction in certain ways.

selectivity

i consider myself highly selective when it comes to following. this is because i read rules, all other pages, and check blogs for writing and certain things that i may deem unfit for me to follow. this should not be taken personally, sometimes people don't click, and that's okay. that being said, i don't have incredibly high standards. if you've been active recently and i see writing on your blog, as well nothing problematic on my look through your pages, then i'll most likely follow!

memes & starter calls

memes are the best way to interact with me. i use answered memes as a way of making staters, so they are always welcome to be continued, if you're feeling it. i will post the occasional starter call, but i am not great at finishing them, so i try not to post them too often. i welcome memes as well as any unprompted asks! anon is permanently off.

plotting

i often prefer plotting over 'winging it', even if it's just to get an idea started. pre established relationships are also a preference of mine, so discussing ships ( of any kind ) is always something i love doing. i will post shipping / dynamics calls sporadically, and all mutuals are free to like these posts.

writing speed

i'd say i have a fairly quick turn around when it comes to replies, though i do tend to jump around from blog to blog, which could leave drafts piling up. sometimes i'll use a queue, and sometimes i'll do several replies, one after the other. if you're still waiting on a reply after several weeks, feel free to ask me about it - it's probably sitting in my drafts.

i tend to use simple formatting. i use regular font and have completely stopped using small text due to my eye sight. if you need me to change anything about my formatting, just ask!

MILITARY PROWESS ✦  having started as a soldier and working his way up to captain ( and, later, promoted to major ), kp has high standing in the goblin court's military, and thus, has a respected position amongst the men he looks after. he is a renowned veteran, known not just in the goblin kingdom, but far beyond its walls, making him a fun topic of conversation at parties.BATTLE STRATEGY ✦  known for his cunning ploys and strategic plays on the battlefield, hob has won wars with his maps of matstery, giving precise orders to those serving below him, thus continuously leading the military into victory. the goblin court has not lost a battle in a millennia, thanks to hob's leadership.LOGICAL THINKING ✦  under stress, hob does not cower, often even working better under harsh conditions. in difficult endeavors, when hard choices are needed to be quickly made, hob does not falter. he can keep his cool even in the worst of times, and his calmness tends to rub off on those around him.

WEAPON MASTERY ✦  as an officer, hob mastered many weapons, ranging from short and long swords, to crossbows, to a clubs and staffs. his preferred weapon is the halberd, and to others, he is known to be the beast who is best with this weapon. this is the weapon he takes into war with him.RAGE ✦  when he becomes angry in battle, kp will enter into his rage, causing the beast to grow several sizes, his strength increasing due to adrenaline. he is more powerful, and his skin is harder to penetrate during this state. he must enter and exit his rage when necessary.KINDNESS ✦  perhaps his best skill, kp hob has a big heart. he is always willing to help others. his mission and purpose in life is to serve those around him, often forgetting to take care of himself in the process. from his fellow fey to the small and big creatures that walk the earth, kp will do his best to ensure that everyone has the help that they need - he doesn't want anyone to feel like they're alone in this world.

split into 3 parts. pre canon: hob is the captain of the goblin king's military. he was recruited at a young age and fufilled the only purpose he has ever known: serving others. canon: captain hob is attending the social even of the season - the bloom - to uncover who sabotaged the political marriage between the goblin's viscountess grabalba and prinapollo of the court of wonder. post canon: no longer a captain or part of the goblin court, knickolas has to reacclumate. now a member of the remade court of craft, alongside his new friends, kp tries to settle into civillian life, learning more about himself in the process.

knickolas hob is honorably discharged from the us military after sustaining an injury to his left knee. afterward, kp is searching for his next purpose, and is feeling somewhat aimless while doing so. can include kp as private security, secret service, or a government agent as post military occupations.

affiliated with allevils. knickolas was born in hell with the other hounds. the runt of the litter, kp spent the majority of his time trying to prove himself. eventually, he's assigned to lucy as her main hound, meant to guard her in uncertain and dangerous circumstances. he follows her up to the surface and remains a loyal hound to him, pledging his loyalty for eternity.

ser knickolas moved up from being a soldier, to a knight of the kingsguard, sworn to protect and serve the crown. with this oath, however, knickolas finds himself in between two houses, knowing he will need to return to the battlefield as an impending civil war hangs over their heads. knickolas can be serving either / any house in this verse, spending on the plot. he tends to have a protective spirit over the children involved in the oncoming war.

captain knickolas hob finds himself returning from duty, attending the ton's seasonal event along with his brothers in arms. as not a particularly sociable fellow, hob tends to stand on the sidelines, unsure of how to make connections as others around him seem to do so easily. he doesn't intend to find love, but there is always a surprise waiting for the ton's guests as the season goes on.

having retried from the military as a decorated war vet, kp finds himself unable to relax, still wanting to fulfill a purpose and sever others. thus, he accepts a position as the fighting teach at aguefort academy, showing students how to use specific weapons as an extra curricular class, as well. kp enjoys working with the kids, and in return for his teachings, learns to lighten up a bit and enjoy life for what it is.

having been saved from being killed when he was young out in the fey wilds, kp was brought to baldur's gate by a human couple. it didn't take long for knickolas to understand that he was out of place, there. as he grew and looked less like the humans in baldur's gate, it became harder for him to find a palce amongst them. until he stumvled upon of the members of the flaming fist. eager to join and find his purpose, hob taught himself to fight, and was eventually recruited into the organization, becoming captain and commanding an army of 400 soldiers. unfortunately, ins a small domestic battle a few dozen miles form his home, hob was attacked and kidnapped, only breaking from the prison he was kept in months later. far from his home, knickolas intends to find his way back.
